The Team


The Outreach Team includes:

Senior Support Worker, Jess Posselwhite

Support Workers, Laura Easton and Helen Middleton.


They are here for several reasons such as managing the project, supporting young people with their independent living skills, ensuring they are in receipt of the correct benefits, budgeting, help with debts, drugs and alcohol, support with mental health issues and so on. They can also assist young people to appointments such as the doctors if needed.

The team also carries out Lifewise workshops comprising of modules such as: Introduction to Home Safety, Cooking and Nutrition, Understanding your Emotions and Introduction to Bill Payment. These AQA accredited workshops are an excellent way to show landlords that young people are ready to take on their own tenancy.

When young people have been with Coatham House for a while and have addressed any particular needs they have, the Outreach Team will help them to move on independently to their own property. Once there, they continue to support the young person in their new home to ensure their tenancy is a success.

Coatham House always states that the door is always open and former residents have returned for help and advice time and time again.


Coatham House also has a concierge team who work from our 24hr support project based in central Redcar.


The team is made up of Andy, Clare and Lee*.


The staff presence is important in this particular house as the younger residents tend to live here which means they have access to support around the clock.


The concierge team supports with cooking and cleaning as well as being there to chat to.


The team are also responsible for keeping the property safe overnight, clean and tidy and report any repairs that may need doing. 


Maintenance Team

We cover all aspects of property maintenance from leaky taps to tip runs, from blocked toilets to building sensory room's.

Also a part of what we do is look after our "enterprise" property's which are 6 self contained flats and commercial premises, Reloved Cafe and Clothes shop and Reloved @ Home for all our furniture donations.

We also provide a pick up day for the Reloved @ Home shop on a Wednesday picking up donations of furniture to sell to raise some much needed funds to help keep us ticking over.



The Administration Team



Our team is primarily responsible for the day to day running of the office; we answer the phones, take room bookings and welcome visitors. 


We also deal with all financial aspects including rents, service charges, housing benefit, and ordering and paying for required stock.


We also support the other Coatham House teams with admin tasks when required.


We both work closely with outside agencies such as Housing Benefit and the Job Centre and are also responsible for all Health and Safety aspects including audits.


We deal with Human Resources issues and staff management procedures.


Sue McDonnell handles the companies accounts and budgets, producing financial reports for the trustees, paying invoices, producing bank statements and assisting the Project Manager where required.


Projects Manager 

Is responsible for the overall management of the service.
